Hello, I have a similar issue as some suggested in the forum. I run on MacOS Sierra 16 GB 1867 MHz LPDDR3 on a Macbook 12'. Last month I updated to 16.9 Excel fro Mac 365 and its very unresponsive. When you scroll it takes a lot of time to respond and can make chaotic movements across the sheet. You double click on a cell it may respond or it may not. It may seem that the PCU is crunched, but all energy management windows show normal operations.

It was never so on previous version. And this issue is only in Excel, no other Office App. I have tried safe mode, but it works same way.
